1. Do you translate all languages? [

GW software has a number of products. Goldword Pro
consists of source languages: English-French-Spanish-Hebrew-German, and destination languages: Italian-Danish-Swedish-Portuguese-English-French-Spanish-Hebrew-German. Goldword Standard only offers the option of two languages of source and destination. Goldword Pro-ASIA adds destination languages to all the Pro languages including: Chinese (traditional and Modern), Japanese and Korean to the TO languages.
2. Are you planning to add additional languages? [

3. Does the software translate documents or websites? [
UP ]
The technology only translates words and phrases. It is a known fact that no company so far, has reached capacity of translating documents with an accuracy higher than 60-70%
the reason is computers do not contain AI.
4. After downloading the program, how do I open GW? [
UP ]
Click on GW icon located next to the computer clock or on the desktop. You also have the option of clicking F10 on your keyboard.
You can also click into program files folder located in the hard drive and click on Goldword folder, then click on GW.EXE file.
5. My Internet connection is slow, how do I speed up the download? [

6. How do I Integrate GW translated words (from GW tool to Word Processor)? [
UP ]
GW will Integrate (paste) translated words/phrases into any word processor tool. Including: Word 97 (and newer versions), Power Point, Word Perfect, E-mails, Text, MSN Messenger, ICQ, and even the Internet Explorer bar.
In order to Integrate a word follow these steps:
Open your word processor and begin typing
You encounter a word you would like to translate, press F10 to open GW
Set translating language (For Example: Hebrew to English
for English translation) by clicking on the arrows located next to language and flag
Type desired word into the bottom right hand corner and click on the 2 arrows or Enter to translate
Choose from the translation options, the most appropriate
Click on your choice twice or press Enter
The word/phrase will be Integrated into the word processor and the GW tool will disappear
Note: Make sure the cursor is flashing at the place the word should be integrated into!
7. How do I translate words from a word processor document or website? [
UP ]
GW allows you to translate single words and expressions from all word processing programs and websites.
In order to translate a word follow these steps:
Open the GW program by pressing the F10 button
Set translating language (For Example: Hebrew to English
for English translation) by clicking on the arrows located next to language and flag
Go to the document or website and highlight the word that you would like to translate.
Press on CTRL + C or right mouse click and copy
The word you have highlighted will be pasted to the translation text box and automatically provide the translation.
8. How do I send an e-mail using GW? [
UP ]
With the help of GW you can send e-mail so the addressee will be able to view the e-mail in the language sent from every computer in the world, avoiding script and text read errors!
In order to send e-mail through GW follow these steps:
Open the GW program by pressing the F10 button.
Type your message in the GW word editor located in the second screen
Press send e-mail icon (bottom left of screen)
Enter the destined e-mail addresses
NOTE: You may use the Address Book function and insert the e-mail addresses from you e-mail program (Outlook, Lotus, Outlook Express, Internet mail)
To do so press the address books icon.
Press send e-mail icon
Status on bottom left will provide you with confirmation
9. How do I install and operate GoldText? [
UP ]
GoldText is a solution that translates text in seconds. Due to the fact that computers are not human, no text can be translated at a 100% accuracy level.
GoldText provides two solutions to provide the highest quality of text translation:
1. Translating text – word by word.
Open GW
Press F10.
Set the source and destination languages.
Open the GW editor window and place the cursor in the window.
Copy the text you desire to translate into the GW editor window
Click on ‘Select translation type’; choose mouse translation.
Point with the mouse word by word for translation in the GW translation word.
Notice: you have the option of choosing mouse + dictate. This feature playback the translated word in the destination language. (Only if the language has voice support).
*Only the languages in the Version you have purchased support this option.
2. GoldText: Translating documents, e-mails and web sites.
Due to computer limitations this feature should be used to provide a general understanding of text (Accuracy level up to 80%
suggested use is for preliminary translation).
Open GW
click on GW icon.
Right click on the GT icon and choose “Language”
Choose your destination language preference and click “OK.”
Left Click with the mouse + drag the “GT” icon to the text you desire to translate. Release the left click on the text for translaion.
Wait 5-10 seconds and you will have the translation.
** GoldText provides the following languages:
Source language: English
Destination language: Hebrew, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, and Portuguese (B).
**** Only the languages in the Version you have purchased support this option.
10. How do I install Hebrew on an English operating system? [

Installation of Hebrew Language Support For Windows XP
Go to:
Control Panels -> Regional and Language Options
and select the Languages tab.
Put a check next to:
"Install files for complex script and right-to-left
languages (including Thai)"
After the reboot, go back to:
Control Panels -> Regional and Language Options
Select the Languages tab and click on the Details button.
Click on the Add button to add Hebrew language and keyboard.
Once you add the Hebrew language, you can select It by clicking
on the blue and white two-letter icon in the system tray menu bar
located in the lower right corner of the screen.
Installation of Hebrew Language Support For Windows 2000
>From your Windows Start button, go to:
Settings->Control Panel -> Regional Settings (or Regional Options)
Hit the Tab
General
Go to Language Settings for the system
Put a check next to Hebrew -> Apply
Insert your Windows 2000 disk
When it asks you to scroll on the Windows disk to
I386\Lang\Heb\AHRONB_.TTF and select it.
After the reboot go back to:
Settings->Control Panel -> Regional Settings (or Regional Options)
Go to the Input Locales Tab
Go to Installed Input Locales
Hit Add
Select Hebrew
Click Ok.
Once you add the Hebrew language, you can select It by clicking
on the blue and white two-letter icon in the system tray menu bar
located in the lower right corner of the screen.

11. Can I write e-mails in another program and paste it onto GW Editor to send in image form? [

Yes you can, and this is one of GW advantages.
i. Copy text you would like to send
ii. Open GW by pressing F10
iii. Paste text onto GW editor window
iv. Edit text using GW editor, creating spaces, color, underlines etc…
v. Send e-mail

Simply click on the “dictate it” icon located in every screen separately.
To change voice:
Go into options
Choose sound options
Choose from: speech like, speech speed and speech pitch
Test sound by clicking TRY IT
14. Can I playback words/text in all languages? [

No. Currently GW is only enabled to playback in English. We expect to have Playback in all languages out by September.
15. How do I type in foreign languages using GW Virtual keyboard? [

Set translating language (For Example: Hebrew to English
for English translation) by clicking on the arrows located next to language and flag
Click on keyboard icon to open virtual keyboard screen
Set cursor to GW Editor screen or GW translation screen
Click on letter to type
16. Can I Integrate the GW editor text into another program? [

Open program you would like to paste text into
Click on “insert text” icon on bottom left of GW editor screen
17. How do I close the GW program? [

There are a number of options:
Click F10 to open/close GW
Click on minimize feature on top right
18. Is it true I get upgrades to GW? [
UP ]
Yes.
Click on “help” F1 icon (on top right)
This will open up help window
Click on upgrade program
The next time you connect to the web the upgrade will be performed automatically
19. What is the personal dictionary feature? [
UP ]
You may use this feature, in order to add to the dictionary words, phrases, slang and even notes.
Set translating language (For Example: Hebrew to English
for English translation) by clicking on the arrows located next to language and flag
Click on personal dictionary icon
Type in word/phrase
Type in interpretation
Click on OK icon
Note: to delete word click on word/phrase in translation screen. Click on the X that appear on the top of the screen. Then the personal dictionary screen will open up with the word and interpretation. Click on OK to delete.
